At the regular meeting of the local Lodge of Moose held last night at Moose Home, Dr. Abraham Portnoy, dictator, presented motion pictures of Mexico and the West coast. Dr. Portnoy also spoke briefly on the membership drive now being conducted.

After the announcement of 19 new applications for the “Mayor Carney Class,” comprised of candidates for membership to be initiated on June 24, arrangements for this event were completed. Attorney General Paul Dever will be a guest at this function and will address the members. The situation ceremony will be postponed until 10 o’clock to permit Mayor Carney to attend after the meeting of the City Council.

George Viegas, secretary of the Lodge, was appointed as a committee of one to organize the Moose Safety Drive which will be conducted in the near future. The drive will be a definite endeavor to reduce the traffic hazards of the city.
