
A large class of new members was initiated into the Moose Lodge a ta meeting presided over Manuel Gracia Jr. Sunday Afternoon.
The New members received the precepts of the organization from William Andrade, lodge prelate, followed by instructions on the rules of the order given by the dictator.
Joseph Avila was presented with a gift awarded by the dictator for his efforts in securing five new members in the Drill Team Class of March.
Peter Carter, chairman of the bazaar committee, announced that March 26 and 27 were the dates set for the drill team baazar.
George J. Viegas spoke on the Booster Club that is now in formation. Any member securing eight new candidates will be entitled to membership in this club, and a quota of two new candidates every quarter will assure them of permanent membership.
A mystery lunch prepared by Joseph Francis was served following the meeting and clay pipes filled with tobacco were distributed.
The dictator gave an outline of the entertainment planned for the next three months and expressed satisfaction at the manner in which the membership drive is progressing.
The Dictator’s class of new members will be initiated April 25.
